Tectonic Environments of Ore Deposition—VIEPS course code TOD
Duration: 5 days—Monday 5 August, 2002 – Friday 9 August, 2002
Location: School of Geosciences, Monash University
Course Leader: Dr Pete Betts, assisted by David Giles, Gordon Lister and Mike Raetz

The course will consider the essential elements of ore deposition within different tectonic settings (e.g. Andean dubduction, ocean-ocean subduction, intracontinental rifts, continent-continent collision). The vision is to deliver a global view of metallogenesis in the context of modern theories of plate tectonics and orogenesis.
